5 TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL “FANDRAFT” DRAFT
Many of you followers of the “Commissioner’s Corner” are also users of FanDraft.
And since a lot of your drafts are soon approaching, we thought this would be a very useful read:
It's the mission of FanDraft to create a more entertaining and engaging draft experience, while also keeping things organized and running smoothly for the commissioner.
Understanding how FanDraft works, and all of the available tools and abilities of the application is the key to you having a successful draft party
Below are 5 tips to best prepare you (the commish) to run a great draft:
1. DO SOME PRACTICE DRAFTS
The best way to become familiar with the FanDraft platform is by running some practice drafts. So before your actual draft takes place, do a few dry runs: (instruction details)
2. COMMISSIONER TOOLS
The commissioner has access to special tools available under the (...) area.
This includes the ability to "Skip Pick", "Edit Picks", make an "In-Draft trade", and "Team On the Fly". The "Team on the Fly" tool allows you to immediately change the current team picking. In an Auction draft, this area allows you to change the team nominating on the fly.
3. DOUBLE-CHECK ALL OF YOUR SETTINGS!
Before your actual draft, make sure you have properly input all of your league settings.
Too often users will accidentally not set enough rounds, put in an improper "roster size", or forget to set positional min/max rules.
If you do this incorrectly, it's good to know that you can exit the draft at any time, make and save changes to your league setup, and then re-enter the draft room without missing a beat.
4. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS (RTFM)
FanDraft provides detailed documentation that goes over every aspect of the FanDraft software in detail. You can access the documentation here:

5. TECHNICAL ISSUES? This can help!
Are you having problems with walk-up songs not playing?
Not sure how to invite remote users?
Want to do change the font size of the player cells?
…If you run into last-minute technical issues, make sure to check out the “FanDraft Knowledge Base”, which is an extensive and searchable FAQ area that covers almost any question you may have (related to FanDraft).
